4WD HIRE INFORMATION

 

WHAT DO YOUR PRICES INCLUDE?

All of our standard daily rates include standard Damage Cover as per Rental Agreement, vehicle registration, 100 kilometres free per day (averaged out over the total hire duration).

All prices listed on our website are in Australian Dollars.

WHAT ABOUT EXTRA KILOMETRES?

The fee for extra kilometres is:
4WDs vehicles: $0.33 per km

We do offer unlimited kilometre packages, however the price depends on the farthest destination you wish to travel to and the intended use of the vehicle. Kilometre options are nominated at the beginning of the hire and cannot be changed when you return the vehicle. You can change the package during the hire by ending the original Rental Agreement (and paying any kilometre fees if applicable) and commencing another, no days can be rolled over as these will be considered as 2 separate hires. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

HOW DO YOU CALCULATE HIRE PERIODS?

Our hires work on a 24 hour clock, so the time that you collect the vehicle, is the same time the vehicle will be due in. We offer a one hour grace period (30 mins during peak seasons, i.e. WA Holiday periods) however if vehicles are returned later than the grace period, an extra day’s rental will apply. We do not offer half day rentals.

 

CAN I RETURN EARLY?

You may return earlier than the original hire period which you nominated and paid for, however we are unable to offer refunds or credits.

If you advise us that you wish to extend your hire, and we approve, we cannot refund or credit this extension if you change your mind after approval is granted and rental fees are paid.

DO YOU OFFER LONG TERM RENTALS?

Yes we do! Please contact us to discuss your needs and we can tailor an affordable package for you. We do offer discounts for longer rentals.

DO YOU REQUIRE A SECURITY DEPOSIT / BOND?

We do require a security bond (deposit) for all hires. This is not negotiable! The bond for standard vehicles is $400.00 paid by CASH. 

 

DO I HAVE TO RE-FUEL BEFORE RETURNING THE HIRE VEHICLE?

Yes, all hire vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as hired to you with (usually Full). A re-fuelling service component of $20.00 will apply on top of the price of fuel if we have to re-fuel the vehicle.

DO I HAVE TO CLEAN THE VEHICLE BEFORE I RETURN?

Please return the vehicle to us in the same condition as when you collected it. Although we do clean vehicles in between hires regardless of their state, we appreciate our hirers to respect our vehicles by return clean and un-damaged. A minimum cleaning fee of $20.00 will apply for untidy vehicles.

CAN I SMOKE IN THE HIRE VEHICLE?

Absolutely NOT! Our vehicles are all smoke free! Please respect our patrons with allergies and sensitivities, as well as our vehicles. A minimum fee of $100.00 will apply to clean vehicles which smell of cigarette smoke and/or have ash and/or burn holes (damage costs will also apply).

CAN I BRING MY ANIMAL IN THE HIRE VEHICLE?

Sorry, again we need to respect our patrons with allergies and sensitivities, so animals are NOT allowed in our hire vehicles.

DO YOU HIRE GPS AND/OR PRINT STREET DIRECTORIES/MAPS?

We hire GPS units for $5 per day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET A SPEEDING FINE, PARKING TICKET, ETC?

If you receive a traffic infringement and do not pay the issuing body before returning the car, or by the stipulated due date, the issuer will post to us a reminder notice. We are then legally obligated to supply the issuer with the main Hirer’s details as nominated on the Rental Agreement (i.e. the person in charge of the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence). The issuer will then re-direct the fine to the main Hirer for payment (payment instructions are included on the notice).

We do not pay infringements on behalf of Hirers and you do not pay us the amount of infringements.

We will charge a processing fee of $33.00 per traffic infringement that a Hirer incurs. Please note that this may be a number of days or weeks after the vehicle has been returned (depending on the time it takes for the infringement issuer to post notice to us).

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO HIRE A CAR?

All drivers aged 20 to 75 inclusive are eligible for our Damage Cover.

Drivers aged 20 to 24 inclusive, are subject to an Age Excess charge of:
Hires less than 7 days: + $10 per day.
Hires 7+ days: + $7 per day.

DO YOU HIRE TO “PROVISIONAL” DRIVERS?

All drivers must have held their driver’s licence for 2 years or more to be eligible for our Damage Cover.

WHAT DRIVING LICENCES DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept driving licences issued in all states of Australia, overseas and international driving permits. All driver’s licences must be current and valid.

As per Western Australian Road Regulations, holders of a driver’s licences not in english, must hold a current and valid international driving permit.

Also as per WA Road Regulations, if you are planning to drive in WA for longer than 3 consecutive months, you must apply for a WA driving licence.

You MUST supply your driving licence details to us when you collect a vehicle. Anyone who drives our hire vehicles must be nominated on the Rental Agreement prior to driving.

We allow 2 drivers to the nominated at no extra cost. If you wish to nominate additional drivers, a once of cost of $10 per driver applies. You can nominate another driver by coming into our office with their licence or by supplying their details over the phone or by email. Please note that any licences which are not valid will void any Damage Cover Agreement and you may be in trouble with WA Authorities.

DO YOU OFFER DAMAGE COVER?

Our prices include standard Damage Cover as per Rental Agreement.

This covers you in the event of an accident with another vehicle (Vehicle to Vehicle). If you are at fault your liability (excess) is the first $1,000.00, or part thereof ($1,500.00 for drivers aged 20-24 inclusive).  However if you are not at fault and we receive recovery from the other party, your liability is NIL.

You can choose to reduce Vehicle to Vehicle liability to $500.00 ($750.00 for drivers aged 20-24 inclusive):

For hires less than 7 days: Add $10 per day. For hires 7+ days: Add $7 per day.

The standard Damage Cover included in the price does NOT cover you in the event of a Single Vehicle Accident (e.g. with a pole, tree etc). This means that you would need to pay the total repair costs in such an event. You can choose the option to take out Single Vehicle Cover (optional):

For hires less than 7 days: Add $10 per day. For hires 7+ days: Add $7 per day.

By opting for Single Vehicle Cover you would be covered with a liability (excess) of $1,000.00, or part thereof in the event of a Single Vehicle Accident ($1,500.00 for drivers aged 20-24 inclusive). This is not reducible.

NOTE: The liability may vary for certain executive or large vehicles. This will be advised in our supplied quotations.

WHAT DO I DO IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE?

Contact us immediately! Even if the vehicle is still driveable, as per the Rental Terms and Conditions, you must notify our company within 48 hours of the incident.

If another party is involved, get as many details as you can from them!

If the accident is with another vehicle or property and is significant, you must lodge an official Crash Report to the WA Police. You can do this online at www.crashreport.com.au (opens in new window).

For us to fulfill our Damage Cover Agreement with you, you must supply to us a copy of the Police Crash Report, as well as complete our own Collision and/or Damage or Report Form (which we will supply to you upon your notification to us of damage).

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR DAMAGE COVER?

As above, Single Vehicle Cover is not included as standard. You can opt for this cover by paying the additional cost as listed above.

Windscreen and Tyre damage is not covered at all (unless due to a fault in the vehicle prior to your collection – determined after authorised assessment).

Damage Cover is void for driving off sealed roads.

Western Australian Child Restraint Laws require children from:

– Birth to under 6 months to be restrained in a rearward facing child restraint (e.g. infant  capsule).

– 6 months to under 4 years to be restrained in either a rearward or forward facing child restraint with in-built harness; and

– 4 years to under 7 years to be restrained in either a forward facing child restraint or booster seat restrained by a correctly adjusted and fastened seat belt or child safety harness.

Also, children:

– under 4 years are not allowed to sit in the front seat of a vehicle with two or more rows of seats,

– from 4 years to under 7 years are only allowed to sit in the front seats if all rear seats are occupied by children less than 7 years of age.

Children 7 years and over can be restrained in an adult seat belt or booster seat.D
